Success!!!!!!

Now that the Swallows have flown south and our honeybees have huddled together for the winter, we draw a close on the river Freshney nature walks.

As part of my work I spend a lot of time educating people young and older about our beautiful river and the need to look after our blue and green spaces. The sponsored nature walks on three separate sections of the watercourse have proved extremely popular and bring attention to how lucky we are to have this in our town.

Education…..

As part of my work I spend a lot of time educating people young and older about our beautiful river and the need to look after our blue and green spaces. The sponsored nature walks on three separate sections of the watercourse have proved extremely popular and bring attention to how lucky we are to have this in our town. Biodiversity is rich especially towards our town centre and it’s been a pleasure to show the children what there is if we look hard enough.

Giving Something Back.

It is important more than ever to give something back to the environment so the children enjoy a brief but thorough litter pick at the end of each walk together with a duck and swan feed with correct food as supplied by Haith’s

Thank you….

I would like to thank NAViGO for sponsoring the project which has seen over 60 children learn about our river and the wildlife that call it home 🦦🐟🦢🦆

As winter makes way for spring we will be back out there, so WATCH THIS SPACE.
