A New Project With Care Plus….

A shared Ethos

I’m proud to be continuing my working relationship with the Care Plus Charitable Trust in the form of additional funding to roll out this years children’s nature walks.

‘As a social business Care Plus Group is committed to working with communities across Lincolnshire providing health and social care services to improve health and wellbeing’.

We all want what is best for our communities and people are at the heart of that, so being able to link up with them and other wellbeing organisations in the area is incredibly important.

Inspiration & Education

All Things good And Nice C.I.C. believe that being out in nature can have a profound effect on individuals. Learning to enjoy and respect our environment is extremely important and our nature walks will serve to delight and educate which will hopefully inspire the children to share their knowledge with others and above all else, respect our blue and green spaces.

The walks will take place in three separate locations to maximise the number of participants and to make it more interesting for those wanting to come on multiple outings. These will be along the Boulevard, Cleethorpes Country Park, and close to the source of our river near Laceby to witness our incredibly rare blow wells.

At the end of every walk, we give back to nature in the form of a litter pick, and each child will be issued with a certificate.

Complimentary refreshments will be available on our river Freshney walks courtesy of Grimsby In Bloom and correct duck and swan food from Haith’s will also be provided.

Nature I-Spy

Children love to get involved and what better way to educate than a spot of detective work! Bespoke nature i-spy sheets have been made to compliment the project and coupled with expanding their knowledge of the wildlife in the area the children will have a few hours time out from their normal day. It also serves to give parents and carers the chance to stop-the-clocks for a while and also learn about places that perhaps, they never knew existed.

As The Spring Comes Alive……

The Care Plus Charitable Trust also sponsored my Movement & Meditation guided canoe trips, which saw service users of various local organisations enjoy some relaxation and a chance to view nature from a different perspective. These trips have proven very successful and have been beneficial in lots of ways, so we look forward to the good weather so we can continue where we left off.
